Our world renowned Bad Santa gift exchange (max value $20) will be held, which proves that despite saying sorry a lot, Canadians can be ruthless. (Specifically when butter tarts are involved).

For the young uns parents are welcome to bring a small gift (up to $25) with a strong possibility Santa will be there to hand them out around 4pm.

In a first for a CCV Christmas, we will also have access to lawn bowl rinks for barefoot bowls (Basically Curling with out ice, brooms or shoes) Yes it really is barefoot .

Cost is $10 each for members and guests, or $5 for children under 12 . There is a separate charge of $7.00 for those over 12 looking to curl ( I mean bowl) so we can reserve the rinks.

The Canada Club of Victoria (CCV) is a volunteer run social club for Canadians, and those with strong ties to Canada, living in Melbourne Australia and regional Victoria. It is our mission to bring a little bit of Canadiana to the area.

The CCV executive run a number of events each year including – Canada Day and Thanksgiving.  We also offer a number of smaller social events for families and individuals to network and discuss all things Canada. Please see our events section for a list of upcoming events and how to register.

The club’s origins date back to 1940 with the formation of the Canadian Women's Club of Victoria to help Canadian women in Melbourne who found it difficult being so far away from Canada. Soon after, the Canadian Men’s Club was formed with a focus on business relationships between Canada and Australia.  In 1981, these two clubs amalgamated into the present Canada Club of Victoria.
