Are you ready for an outdoor adventure that makes a real difference?

We're inviting nature lovers, citizen scientists, and curious explorers to help uncover the incredible biodiversity of Cattai Wetlands! Join our BioBlitz as we search high and low to find and record as many species as we can – from frogs and fungi to birds and bugs!

🍽️ BONUS: Free dinner provided to keep your energy up while we explore!

💡 What you’ll need:

• Enthusiasm for the natural world 🌏
• The iNaturalist and FrogID apps installed on your smartphone 📱
• Enclosed shoes & long pants – we’ll be moving through bush and wetlands 👖👟
• A reasonable level of fitness and good health – it’s an active day! 💪
• Children must be 8+ and supervised at all times 👧👦

In order to make the most of the event, we recommend attendance at one of our citizen science training sessions on Tuesday 3rd or Thursday 5th February. We will assist you in installing the required apps, get you set up with an account and demonstrate how to utilise the systems prior to using them in the field. These events can also booked through the MidCoast Council eventbrite.

Cattai Wetlands is currently closed to the public due to flood damage so bookings to attend are essential.
