The Archdiocese of Hobart warmly welcomes you to Carols on the Hill.
Supported by the City of Hobart, “Carols on the Hill” is a free, traditional outdoor carols event, designed for families to share the joyful spirit of Christmas.
“Carols on the Hill” will be staged at the Guilford Young College oval (Hobart Campus), under government COVID-19 guidelines. Entrance to the college oval is via Patrick Street, and gates open at 5.30 pm.
The concert will begin at 7.00pm and finish at 9.00pm. The college oval provides a cosy venue, perfect for a family picnic. There will be food vans on-site, and activities for children.
“Carols on the Hill” will be emceed by youth minister, Daniel de la Motte, and will feature local musical artists who will be singing many well-known, traditional Christmas carols and hymns. The lighting of candles as dusk descends on the city is sure to make a memorable night.
In support of Vinnies Christmas Appeal, you are welcome to donate gifts or non-perishable food items under the large CatholicCare Tasmania Giving Tree. Families are welcome to light a candle for loved ones and say a prayer at the Nativity Scene.
Children attending the concert are invited to come dressed in their favourite nativity costume (angels, shepherds) and may even be asked if they would like to be involved in the concert! We look forward to welcoming you as we join together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
NOTE: A single general admission ticket must be reserved for each & every attendee (adults & children).
Carols on the Hill will be held under government COVID-19 guidelines.
