A Community Kitchen is a group of people who meet on a regular basis to plan, cook and share healthy, affordable meals. Community Kitchens are for everyone.
People of all skill levels, background and english language proficiency are welcome.
The times for Carlton Community Kitchen spring sessions are as follows
Week One: Tuesday 13th of September 1:30 - 4pm
Week Two: Tuesday 20th of September 1:30pm - 4pm
[please note - there will be no session on Tuesday 25th of September]
Week Three: Tuesday 4th of October 1:30pm - 4pm
Week Four: Tuesday 11th of October 1:30pm - 4pm
Week Five: Tuesday 18th of October 1:30pm - 4pm
Week Six: Tuesday 25th of October 1:30pm - 4pm
We usually cook two or three dishes in an afternoon and while there is no charge to come along we split the cost of the ingredients purchased to make the meals. This amount is usually no more than $7.50 and participants are asked to bring cash to cover these costs.
Community kitchen is about meeting new people and exchanging recipes and skills with each other, it is not a class but rather a place to teach and learn together with your peers.
