This workshop is aimed at direct service delivery workers exploring new ways of working through a period of rapid change.

About this Event

Description

This workshop is tailored for people undertaking direct service delivery work with clients in the sexual assault, women’s health and wellbeing and domestic violence sector.

The workshop will explore common challenges and strategies for maintaining resilience as we adopt new ways of working with clients and teams in an online space.

This workshop explores:

Adapting to change and enhancing therapist’s well-being in the online space .

  • Isolation and burn out
  • Factors to consider around why online meetings and sessions are exhausting
  • Supporting effective and positive professional relationships within and across services online
  • Team meetings (set up and having questions ready)
  • Supervision, peer group meetings
  • Fatigue and self care tips
  • Mindfulness, managing anxiety, etc. (Window of tolerance, ACT techniques)

WorkUP Queensland is delivered by The Healing Foundation and ANROWS to build and grow capability and capacity of the sexual violence, women's health and domestic and family violence sector over the next five years.
