Textiles are by far the most sensitive items in any collection. As they age they become more vulnerable to damage fading and insects. Victoria Pearce will discuss what puts items most at risk and how you can do simple things to prevent damage from happening. Victoria will debunk myths and wives tales for storing and caring for textiles and bring world class conservation and preservation advice which is simple and easy to do yourself. Come along to learn more about the usually very secret process of conserving art for the next generation.

Victoria is the Director of Endangered Heritage p/l and a senior textiles conservator. After years working across Asia she has returned to re-establish her lab in Canberra bring a wealth of experience families will be able to follow and enjoy.
