Event description

Description

The Carers Collective Movement is about empowering female carers.

Carers are mums, women looking after a partner, a parent, a friend or you may work in the carer industry as a teacher, manager or health care worker.

The movement is about creating change, creating a space where women can feel safe and supported to share their story, create events and workshops to inspire and empower them with information and words of wisdom and most of all to break down the barriers and shed light on the importance of carers.

As a carer we carry a lot of guilt and shame, we put others first and forget the value and importance of ourselves.

As woman we have a natural instinct to be a nurturer. We scoop in and take care of the problem at hand. We want to take over and look after someone – I call this the Mumma Bear effect. We protect those around us, however whilst doing this we have a tendency to have blinkers on and forget to even see ourselves in the picture.

As women and carers we all need a little self love, self care and support.

Join us as we bring together a group of amazing women sharing their message of empowerment, self love and the importance of self care.

Guest speakers:

* Christine Innes: Founder of the Carers Collective Movement

* Alana Arvantis: Founder of the Self Love Movement

* Mary-leigh Scheerhoorn - Nuitrition and burn out

* Dell Farrell - Sleep as medicine

We have a number of stall holders offering you advice on health and wellness and a little pampering.

There are limited tickets available for this event.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FEMALE ONLY EVENT
