Nikhil Autar

Medical student and medtech founder

Nikhil is a medical student, and researcher, who founded his own med tech company, Bheem Health. Falls, pressure sores, and several other complications occur disproportionately in vulnerable people. After losing 2 friends to these issues, Nikhil looked into the literature, talked to dozens of nursing homes and ICU professionals, and has developed the first ever sensor mat which detects movement, heart and breath rates over your entire body, affordably.

They've recently launched as a consumer device to raise funds for clinical trials on Kickstarter - Kickstarter.com/projects/bheem/bheemUP. The next step is to work with hospital partners to clinically trial these solutions.
