If you are looking for a new job or promotion, returning to the workforce (either for family reasons or injury), a new Australian searching for work or considering making a career change, then this series of career boot camps will provide you with the tools and resources to help you reach your career goals.

Facilitator: Samantha Lyne, Career Development Practitioner and Director, My Job Application

Each attendee will receive a FREE copy of ‘The Career Book’ that Samantha has created for her business to facilitate the lifelong career planning process. As part of the workshop, Samantha will take 5 minutes to run through the book with a ‘how to use’ feature.

Light refreshments included. This is the first bootcamp in a series of four.

Topic: ‘How to write outstanding job applications’

Writing job applications can be a confusing and time-consuming process. Would you like to have the skills to quickly and effectively apply to jobs? This workshop will cover the expectations of employers and what they look for in job applications, how to create a stand-out resume, a cover letter that is succinct, the art of addressing selection criteria, and developing a statement of claims.

On completing this course you will be able to:

  • understand what employers are looking for in job applications

  • communicate your true potential

  • create documents that are consistent and address the position advertised

  • be more confidence throughout the job application process
