For GPs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals

This session will provide information on how GPs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals can provide multidisciplinary and collaborative care to their patients using available services in the NALHN region.

The presenters will also update attendees on recent advances in orthopaedics, orthogeriatric care and provide information on new admission guidelines for hospitals in the NALHN region.


Learning outcomes

  • Describe the orthopaedic pathways and requirements for referral to NALHN

  • Understand the indications for minimally invasive foot surgery and knee replacements

  • Discuss recent advances in orthopaedic practice

  • Describe the role of the GP in after-care of orthopaedic procedures.
