Learn all about the world of paper art in this joint workshop, designing and creating greeting cards with Juliette and the art of folding origami butterflies to create Twinkle Jars with Liz. During the class you will participate in both tutorials.

Cardmaking

Over the afternoon, you'll learn how to cut to size, design and create greeting cards from cardstock by hand. This workshop is a great introduction to cardmaking with the opportunity to use the Sizzix Big Shot die cutter and a variety of cardmaking tools. Learn the basics and you'll be impressing all your friends and family with your handmade cards for every occasion!

All materials are included, with an option to purchase a beginner's tool kit at the end of the class with everything you'll need to create at home.

Origami Twinkle Jars

Origami butterflies are what make the Twinkle jars so magical. During this workshop, you will make the Midi Twinkle Jar with a bamboo base and hessian detail. Each Twinkle Jar has 30 hand folded butterflies, which you will learn how to fold and work into the LED string lights provided. You will have full access to over 50 different paper designs, to use and help create your very own, special Twinkle Jar. No origami experience is required to join this workshop. Workshop includes drinks and snacks kindly provided by Inked Cup.

Workshop suits 10 year olds to adult.

Please note that once booked, tickets are non-refundable. You may however transfer your ticket to another participant. Should a workshop be cancelled due to Covid restrictions, your workshop will be rescheduled.

When arriving, attending and leaving the workshop, it is your responsibility to follow all safety precautions. You must wear a mask, be double vaccinated (except those under 12) and check in on arrival. Please arrive five minutes early to complete these checks.

Liz is the owner and creator of Lil Bit of Twinkle. Twinkle Jars are an original design which incorporates Japanese Origami Butterflies and LED lights to create a lil bit of magic which you can hold in your hands. Liz has been making Twinkle Jars for over 4 years and is looking forward to showing you how to make them too.

Juliette is the maker behind Hello Cards and Paper Art, which started in 2018 at the urging of some friends. She’s passionate about making beautiful, unique handmade greeting cards and gift tags and loves inspiring others to create too.
