About this Event

To celebrate the partnership between Charter Partners and Carbon Group, we’re hosting a special launch event. Joining us is well-known cricket champion, Greg Chappell, who will share insights and stories from his impressive cricket career. Not only is this free event an opportunity to hear from a sporting legend, but it’s a great chance to get together and celebrate our wins together.

Along with a talk from Greg Chappell, small business owners will get the opportunity to pick the brains of our expert business advisors and accountants for tips that will help their businesses.

About Carbon Brisbane.

Carbon Brisbane launched in 2020 when local accounting firm, Charter Partners partnered with national multi-service, award-winning firm, Carbon Group. Both firms shared the goal of improving their services to better service their clients, so the partnership was a big step towards achieving that goal.

About our speaker, Greg Chappell.

Greg Chappell retired from cricket after 87 Test matches, including 48 as captain, as the highest run scorer in Australian test cricket history, surpassing Sir Donald Bradman. This record was set in his final test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, a match that would also see him take his 122nd catch setting a new record for catches by fieldsmen.

Greg retired with the highest number of runs scored in a single Test match, 380. His four double centuries is second only in Australian cricket to Sir Donald Bradman and since World War two is the only captain to score a century before lunch in a test match. These are just a few of Greg’s many impressive achievements throughout his career.

Since retirement Greg has been a board member of Cricket Australia and Queensland Cricket. He also served as a selector for three years. Greg’s media career has seen stints as a commentator with Channel Nine, Optus Sportsvision, World Tel and ABC radio. He is currently the State Manager of Cricket for the South Australian Cricket Association, developing elite talent and coaching the Southern Redbacks.

Greg has a wide range of business interests including: health, technology, primary production, sporting goods and sporting memorabilia. He is also a best-selling author with his health and lifestyle books.
