Carbohydrate Counting for Health Professionals is an interactive workshop which empowers health professionals with the skills, knowledge and confidence to count carbohydrates utilising a variety of different tools and techniques.
Carbohydrate Counting for Health Professionals has been endorsed by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association until August 15 2017, according to approved criteria, and offers 6 credentialling points.
The workshop explores which type of carbohydrate counting (basic through to advanced) is relevant for each individual. People with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes have different needs in terms of the level of accuracy that is required in carbohydrate counting to help promote optimal diabetes management.
