Caravan Industry Association Victoria through its National Caravan Industry Training College (NCITC) are please to announce its Caravan Industry First Aid Course with Colbrow Medics.

Information about the course:
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Specific licensing requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.
HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (includes HLTAID001 Perform CPR)
- Provide First Aid is valid for three years
- Includes CPR (valid for one year) which will also be issued to all participants
- Course length 0900 - 1500
- Online pre-course study required approx 2 hours
HLTAID001 Perform CPR
- Perform CPR is valid for one year
- Course length 0900 - 1130
Those who are required to provide an emergency first aid response in a workplace.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
- HLTAID003 Provide first aid
- HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTFA311A Apply first aid
Initial Course duration:
Mixed Mode: Completion of pre-course study plus 5.5 hours practical training
Face to Face: Minimum of 8 hours face to face training
Important information regarding course durations:
Course durations, as mentioned above, are reflective of group sizes of between 4 and 15 participants. If there are less students in a group, you may find course duration reduced by a maximum of 10%. If a class size exceeds 15 participants it may therefore also be necessary to increase course duration depending on the number of participants.
It is a requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.
It is recommended this unit be renewed every 3 years in line with industry standards

The pre course study includes a short self assessment knowledge quiz. You must take the completed paper with you to the training course.

Additionally, in future we are able to hold this course in your area as long as we can get a minimum of 10 people.
