Distillery Tour Cape Byron

Brookie’s Byron Dry Gin is produced at our farm distillery (Cape Byron Distillery) in the hinterland of Byron Bay. We're only open for tours by appointment, so yours will be a special experience. The distillery is set in the heart of our macadamia farm surrounded by sub-tropical rainforest. On arrival, you will be welcomed to the cellar door with a refreshing Brookie's Gin & tonic as we take you on a journey through the story of Cape Byron Distillery, the Brook family farm and the art of distillation. A guided tour through the sub-tropical rainforest is a magical experience; to smell, see and touch the botanicals that are used in the gin, learn the history of the Big Scrub Rainforest and fall in love with this special place. On return to the distillery for gin tasting and relax on the verandah overlooking our farm, watch the birds and enjoy the view.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Minimum age is 18 years required for tastings.

Children under 18 welcome if accompanied by an adult.

How long are the tours?

The tours will run for approximately a 2-2.5 hours duration

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We have ample parking. Access is down a long farm driveway through a beautiful eucalypt forest, turn left at our farm shed and park in the parking areas. There is room for small 20 seater buses to turn around

What can I bring into the event?

Good walking shoes are a must for the rainforest tour

Is there food that I can buy at the distillery?

We have Brookfarm snacks available to purchase. We do suggest visiting some of the local cafes and restaurants before or after your tour at the distillery just ask our friendly staff for suggestions
