Please join us for a LIVE Melbourne Green Roof Forum –

Greening Our Future: the next generation of green roof researchers. 

City of Melbourne is delighted to present a special lunchtime Canopy Forum showcasing six emerging green infrastructure researchers and their dynamic research projects.

The researchers will present a diverse range of research topics offering new insights and thought provoking ideas that will shape the future of green infrastructure in Australia. The research themes focus on human health benefits, biodiversity, ecology and plant functional traits related to green rooftops in Melbourne. 

Come and join us to hear from Melbourne's emerging thinkers of green infrastructure and help to celebrate their research contributions towards a greener, more liveable City.

This research was partly funded by City of Melbourne and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

Event Information:

This Canopy Forum will be hosted at the Wheeler Centre and is a face to face live event.

Please arrive 15 minutes early as presentations will start 12.00pm sharp.

This event will be recorded and can be viewed later via the Wheeler Centre YouTube channel.

Light refreshments will be served from 1pm and guest will the opportunity to meet the researchers and network afterwards. 

Event Location:

The Wheeler Centre is located at 176 Little Lonsdale Street. There is limited on-street parking in Little Lonsdale Street. The nearest commercial carpark is at QV, which has an entrance on Little Lonsdale Street.

The nearest train station is Melbourne Central (170 metres from the Wheeler Centre entrance). Access out of the train station is via a lift. 

The nearest tram stops are:

Swanston Street, stop 8 outside Melbourne Central/State Library Victoria (routes 1-6, 16, 64, 67, 72) (110 metres from the Wheeler Centre entrance)

La Trobe Street, stop 7, (routes 30, 35) (220 metres from the Wheeler Centre entrance)

Tickets are limited to the venue capacity, due to the popularity of these events ticket sell out quickly. If you are a ticket holder and can no longer attend, please let the Greening Melbourne team know, so that other people can attend in your place.
