Shelter WA and the Tenants Action Group of WA (TAGWA) are holding three tenant forums in the metropolitan area in late October and early November to gather tenant views and experiences to inform the development of the State Housing Strategy 2020-2030.

The Cannington event is supported by the City of Canning.

Each forum will be restricted to 15 tenants to enable in-depth of discussion of tenant concerns and issues. Tenants in public housing, community housing, private rental and other tenure types will be invited to participate in each forum and will be reimbursed for their participation.

Attendees will be reimbursed for their time at the forums (a total of $70 each).

In order to make the selection of attendees as fair a process as possible, TAGWA and Shelter WA will assess a tenant’s registration based on two main criteria.

1. Type of tenure

2. Date order of applications received

Registrations will need to be received by 15th November. Successful applicants will be notified after this time.
