Cancer Council NSW Saving Life 2019 Forum in Bega
Event Information
Description
Every day in NSW, more than 120 people hear the words ‘you’ve got cancer’, and too many families lose someone they love.
In the lead up to the NSW election, Cancer Council NSW and the CanAct community is calling on the next NSW Government to take action to reduce the impact of cancer on our community by:
-
Ensuring that people working or socialising in bars and clubs in NSW are protected from second-hand smoke.
-
Reducing the risk of young people starting to smoke and supporting smokers to quit.
-
Supporting parents to encourage children’s healthy eating habits and reducing the burden of obesity on the community.
-
Ensuring that people with lymphoedema have timely access to evidence-based care, regardless of where they live.
Local community members will share personal experiences of these issues, and MP and candidates in attendance will respond.
5:45pm for a 6pm Start.
Light refreshments provided.
RSVP greatly appreciated.
N.B. If you are unable to attend this event, but wish to submit a question to your local candidates in relation to these topics, please send it to the event organiser.
