Dura, yaga, jar means grow, cook, eat! Learn to grow, cook and eat a local variety of native Yugambeh country flavours in this inspiring one-hour bush tucker workshop. As we tour the Botanic Gardens, identify a range of local bush-food plants, discover ways to incorporate the flavours into everyday cooking and pick up tips to grow bush foods in your home garden. Ages 15 years and over. Not suitable for children.

The City of Gold Coast NaturallyGC program connects the Gold Coast community to nature through free and low cost workshops, activities and events.  

The program offers more than 800 free and low cost environment-based workshops and activities that cater for all ages from guided bushwalks, nature play for kids, tree planting, citizen science, environmental educational workshops, nature photography, wildlife shows, bush tucker and more. The program is also packed with ideas and parks to enjoy sustainable nature-based recreation.
