Share our PASSION for CONSERVING regional native PLANTS at the Botanic Gardens Day at the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens!

Come along, bring your family and friends and join in the many activities to share our passion for plants! There will be plenty to see and do to keep the whole family happy, including:

Talks and Walks

Sit in on one or both of two expert horticultural / botanic panel sessions with Q&A:

• 10:30am - Meet Professor Catherine Pickering from Griffith University and Mark Runkovski from Nature Pacific
• 12:30am - Meet Jerry Coleby-Williams from ABC’s Gardening Australia and David Jinks from Gold Coast Botany

Sample Friends Guided Walks or have a chat with Garden Guides and learn about the secrets to be found in our Botanic Gardens.

Displays and activities for all ages, including:

• flower arranging with our native plants
• interactive kids activities to engage them with native plants and animals at the Gardens
• getting up close to some native reptiles with the team from True Blue Reptiles.
• learning about the living creatures that share our Botanic Gardens, including ground dwellers, birds, butterflies and native bees
• propagating our local plants
• special workshop delivered by Paula Nihot
• the Herbarium –discover your inner scientist

Agents of Discovery!

For the child in us all –encourage children to become an Agent of Discovery and go in the draw to win a prize! Follow Agent Goldie to discover more about our Botanic Gardens using a3D mobile app as you solve mysteries and master challenges. Plant Sales

The Nursery will be open with experts available to guide you with your choice of local species suitable for your own gardens to support local fauna species.

Bushfoods, Books and Gifts on sale at The Friends Centre

Come and grab a bargain and visit The Friends Centre for more enticing information

Picnics, Sausage Sizzle and Incredible Coffee at coffee@thegardens

Bring along a picnic rug and your own favourite goodies to enjoy on the lawn. Alternatively, Rotary Gold Coast will be on hand with a hearty sausage or two for a quicker bite.
