Event description

Description

Composting and worm farming are cheap and easy ways to reduce your organic waste at home. They also return vital nutrients to your garden soil!

During International Composting Awareness Week this May, come and learn all you need to know to set up and maintain your own worm farm or composting system at home, and for those with minimal space, learn about Bokashi systems. You will see the compost system at the Friendship Garden, and take away all the tips and tricks to make your own compost or worm farm successful.

Cumberland Council residents receive a $50 rebate for any compost bin or worm farm you buy. (Rebate is available to both home owners and tenants.) Join us on the day to learn more!
