#TransEquality is a trans-led movement of LGBTQIA+ people and allies fighting for a society that guarantees a life of dignity, safety, and respect for all trans and gender diverse people.
Ahead of the launch we are holding events in each capital city to bring people together, share our research, do some skill sharing, and give folks a final chance for input before it goes live.
At the events we will:
- Share the latest research and movement analysis, including analysis of the strategy of the opposition
- Share the latest communications and messaging research around trans campaigning
- Share the movement strategy and key interventions
- Do media training – especially around shifting the dominant narratives
- Share the plans for the first tactic we are launching, open space for input and feedback, and sharing how people can be involved/how we can collaborate.
- Share a handbook at the end of the session covering the strategy and where people can go for support.
- Establish a way we can keep in touch and continue collaborating after the sessions
The event is open to anyone who currently advocates on trans issues regardless of whether they are cis or trans. Please feel free to forward this invite to your colleagues or other folks you think will be interested.
