Canberra Training: Evolving Your Information Architecture – What? Why? How?
Wed., 24/05/2017, 9:00 am – Thu., 25/05/2017, 5:00 pm AEST
Evolving Your Information Architecture – What? Why? How? Better use and component reengineering.
Information architecture models (IAs) are increasingly recognised across organisations as valuable blueprints with a practical business use. All organisations have IAs. The question is – who knows this and effectively are they used? The architectures provide a common language that readily creates new insight of the information and processing challenges plaguing organisations.
IAs can be confusing as they both map and guide the links between an organisation’s strategic and operational information. The organisational strategy provides an impetus to refine data strategy so that the most critical components of the IA can be understood and reengineered. Great data governance is the glue required for this to be effective.
This workshop delivers a better understanding of the structure, use and evolution your organisation’s Information Architecture.
Learn how to identify:
Information architectures drivers
Essential repeatable process
Other important related topics include:
Understanding data-centric development practices and architectural solutions
The important relationships between strategy and governance
Increasing revenue or decreasing costs in tandem with increasing functionality
Using existing legal and financial motivators to guide individual efforts
Using architectural patterns and data profiling to jumpstart efforts to discover and use of architectural components.
Delegates will be in a better position to develop and make use of their organisation’s IA components to support their business practices.
