Hey Canberra Bartender Legends,
Let us ask you a couple of questions: Is the Porn Star Martini really a MARTINI or is it perhaps a SOUR?? Is a Pink Gin and Tonic in a Wine Glass really a SPRITZ? Why don’t you call a Sazerac an OLD FASHIONED?
Whether you think you have the answers or not, join the CAMPARI ACADEMY as we take you through some of the widely accepted and acknowledged modern Cocktail Families in ”THE SPRITZ EXPLAINED”!
THE SPRITZ EXPLAINED is an opportunity for bartenders across Australia to become acquainted with the history, evolution and categorisation of some of the major Cocktail Families we have adopted across the world today.
Often we have made, ordered or come across a cocktail along the lines of ‘something something Spritz’ and wondered ‘Is that REALLY a Spritz’?
This session will dissect the anatomies of some major cocktail families to help you identify, construct and communicate your drinks effectively.
While uncovering history facts, curiosities and practical considerations, we’ll also hero the cocktail that became a global phenomenon in the past decade, the Aperol Spritz, to understand where it comes from, how do we Aperol Spritz and what really makes a Spritz, or not.
