Hello Canberra SharePoint-ers!

This month: Office 365 for Government? Surely not! – but wait!
As government is unable to use o365 for intranets or anything that is classified, internet sites are a different matter – as anything in a public site is not classified. But setting up an internet site on premise requires a lot of overhead – hardware, network, load balancing, licenses, admins on staff etc. And the end result is usually a platform that requires lengthy change requests to update (create new sites for new department projects or change in portfolios) or patch – leaving on premise internet web sites on SharePoint a potentially expensive exercise.
Office 365 offers a cheap way to create internet facing SharePoint sites, and in this presentation, Ishai Sagi from Extelligent Design will demo creating a site that is WCAG 2.0 (Level AA) compliant, with a publishing approval model and support for potential integration with your on-premise SharePoint – all in less than an hour.
This may also be of interest to anyone considering the requirement of WCAG 2.0 (Level AA) in their on-premise installation.
