Description

Join us at sunset on Cockatoo Island for some of Sydney’s best home-grown music. Relax as a selection of Australia’s top underground artists share their stories of life, love, loss and laughs through intimate songs and story-telling.

Programmed by Sydney’s favourite underground music venue, 505, these sessions will enchant, delight and amuse.

Important Information


Getting to Cockatoo Island

Cockatoo Island is accessible by public ferry (F3 Parramatta Service). Travellers will need to purchase an opal card or a single ticket before departing for Cockatoo Island. Please note travel costs are not included with the performance ticket.

Wet Weather

Campfire Sessions will run regardless of weather conditions. Exceptions to this rule exist only when ferry services advise against travel due to extreme weather. In the case of wet weather, the sessions will be moved to an indoor part of the island which will be clearly signed upon arrival.


What to bring

- We recommend you come prepared with wet weather gear and sun protection.

- Although there will be seating provided, we recommend bringing along a picnic blanket and collapsible chair/s.


Food & Beverage

- Food & Beverage will be available to purchase during Campfire Sessions from McIntosh & Bowman Cheesemongers.

- Alcohol may not be brought onto the island. Alcohol may only be purchased on the island from one of our licensed premises. All alcohol must be consumed in the campground licensed area. Those that are deemed by us to be intoxicated or are disrupting the performances will be asked to leave and will not be issued a refund.


Other conditions

- All persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

- Smoking is not permitted during the performances.

- Although designed to be family-friendly, the 120 minute performance length may not be suitable for very young children.

Transfers and cancellations

- This ticket is non-transferable.

- This ticket is refundable up to 7 days prior to the performance.
