CAMEL+ Workshop Two: Additional Features & Practical Applications
Overview
This session is Workshop Two of the Introductory Training Course and is designed to build upon the knowledge gained in Workshop One. As such, it is recommended that attendees already have a foundational understanding of heat load calculations and the CAMEL+ input / results screens.
In this session we will cover some of the more advanced features in CAMEL+, as well as two further example projects to strengthen your understanding of the key concepts. You will learn:
- the wall shading features available in CAMEL+, including more complex examples
- how to model shading from adjacent buildings
- how to apply shading to roofs
- how to evaluate shading effectiveness using the Shadow feature
- how to use the storage mass calculator
- how to model outdoor air preconditioners
- how to set up different load schedules
- how to model chillers, boilers and circuits
- how to analyse the results for more complex systems
There will be interactive Q&A time throughout the session. Active participation in the worked example project is encouraged - if you don't have a current subscription to CAMEL+, you can sign up for a free 14-day trial here before the event. Course summary notes and a CPD Certificate for 4 hours of training will be provided after the session.
Attendees are also encouraged to register for Workshop One (sold separately) which will be held the week prior. Workshop One provides the foundational knowledge that we will build upon in Workshop Two.
