Calm is a Choice: How to Reset Your Nervous System Through Conscious Space

How Your Home May Be Dysregulating Your Nervous System — and What to Do About It

Feeling tense, overstimulated, or unable to fully relax in your own home?

This 75-minute online workshop is created for high-achieving women who are tired of feeling “on” in the one place that’s meant to restore them.

You are not bad at being calm.
You are not failing at organisation.

Your home is affecting your body every single day — whether you realise it or not.

Light.
Visual clutter.
Object placement.
Noise.
Unfinished areas.

Your nervous system reads all of it.

When your space keeps sending signals of demand, your body stays slightly on alert — even when life looks fine from the outside.

This workshop is not about styling.
It is not about perfection.
It is about regulation.

During this session, you will learn:

• The 3 hidden spatial triggers that quietly keep women in fight-or-flight
• Why decluttering alone doesn’t create real calm
• How your brain responds to layout, light, and visual load
• The first structured shift you can apply immediately
• How to help your body settle by changing your space — not fighting yourself

You will leave seeing your home differently.

Not emotionally.
Structurally.

You’ll understand what your nervous system has been reacting to — and what to adjust so your home can finally feel supportive again.

No design background is needed.
No major renovations required.

Just clear understanding — and one conscious shift at a time.

I look forward to holding this space with you.

Etienny Trindade is a designer and construction project manager with over a decade of experience delivering complex, multi-million-dollar environments, including schools and universities — spaces where design directly impacts behaviour, cognition, safety, and emotional regulation.

After years of working on institutional environments, she began applying the same environmental psychology and neuroscience principles to the home.

Because the space you live in shapes how you feel.

And most women have never been taught how to design their environment to support their nervous system.

This training introduces the foundational principles behind her signature framework:

The Spatial Reset Method

An 8-week architect-led process designed to help women redesign their homes to reduce overwhelm and actively support daily emotional regulation.

Etienny is also the host of the Happy Healthy Homes podcast, where she explores the connection between environment, nervous system health, and everyday wellbeing for women and families.
