Event description

Description

The Calligraphy Society of Victoria is proud to present a beginner course on Insular Half Uncial, which can be seen in one of the most beautiful Anglo-Saxon gospels, the Lindisfarne gospel, which was written in A.D. 698. Your tutor is GyoungHee Lee who is one of the CSV's most popular tutors.

The beauty of the written words and illuminated letters (even though gold was not used) is unparalleled. The script was used in this book and other few Anglo-Saxon gospels books is called Insular Half-Uncial.
