Description



Participants will learn how to use effective leadership to recognise and challenge attitudes, beliefs and behavior that lead to violence and unacceptable behaviors (including bullying and harassment).


Team members will be empowered to support a safe and respectful workplace for all by:

  • Promoting awareness of how to be an effective bystander

  • Providing the bystander intervention framework as a useful tool in being a more effective bystander

  • Motivating team members to reflect on their actions and how they contribute to the disempowerment of women

  • Actively supporting gender equality through actions and behaviours

  • Promoting awareness of building respectful and inclusive workplaces, exploring bullying and harassment and the strategies

    Modules:

    1. Introduction to Bystander Theory

    2. Personal Leadership

    3. Bystander Approach to Prevention

    4. Gender stereotypes, Language and Jokes

    5. Respectful behaviours in the workplace

    6. Apply the Bystander Intervention Framework
