Guest Speaker - David Wools-Cobb: The Basics of a Successful Business
David graduated as a pharmacist from the University of Tasmania in 1978. He worked for a short time in hospitals both here and in the U.K.
After 6 years working in community pharmacies, he purchased his own business in Ulverstone. Over the past 31 years, this business has grown significantly and is well known for innovative professional practices.
David has published many articles and given several presentations on professional development both nationally and internationally.
He is semi-retired, allowing more time to indulge in his major passion caving. He maps, photographs and runs environmental projects in caves. When not working, caving or bushwalking he is often travelling with his wife.
David will be speaking about what he considers to be the fundamentals of a successful business, and explain why he considers how many small businesses, most large businesses and institutions like Governments have ‘lost the plot’.
