Event description
Community workshop to develop project plan to apply for Nillumbik Shire Council's Bushfire Preparedness and Community Resilience Grant

About this Event

Nillumbik Shire Council has been funded through the Victorian Government ‘Safer Together’ initiative to strengthen relationships, build capacity and create ongoing resilience within Nillumbik’s bushfire prone communities.

Council is offering one-off funding opportunities for not-for-profit organisations and community groups to deliver initiatives that help bushfire preparedness and community resilience with bushfire prone communities in Nillumbik.Community Bushfire Preparedness and Resilience Grants provide the funds to deliver community led initiatives that are responsive to the broad ways communities prepare for bushfire. This workshop provides an opportunity for potential applicants to workshop their ideas with Council officers and other community members.

Please read the grant guidelines before registering for the session.

The Community Bushfire Preparedness and Resilience Grants are partnership grants between community groups and/or agencies or not for profits and Council, with ongoing support from Emergency Project Resilience Officer (EPRO), Edwina Moran, to support community groups throughout project development and implementation. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the project, please speak with Edwina on 0428 527 889 or via edwina.moran@nillumbik.vic.gov.au
