Event description

Description

Born in the tiny town of Dirranbandi in south-west Queensland, Dale Chapman always knew she wanted to be a chef, and she has achieved that goal with a unique talent, fusing her knowledge of native plants and animals with contemporary cooking to create a uniquely Australian cuisine. Along the way, she has forged bridges between Aboriginal and non-native communities and reintroduced indigenous food to those in her community who have forgotten.

Now - given that for almost every health status indicator available, Aboriginal levels are worse than non-Aboriginal Australians - Dale is focused on a new goal: improving health and life outcomes for Aboriginal people through developing their knowledge of and access to bush tucker.

Come along to Dale's Bush Food tutorial which will include a demonstration of how to make Kangaroo Nachos. This session will include introducing her product range & tasting of spices, fruits and native teas.
