Description

Alice Springs' Telegraph Station will come alive this September with the sounds of the Bush Bands Bash; an annual celebration of original, contemporary Aboriginal music. Presented by MusicNT, the Bush Bands Bash concert is the culmination of an intensive music and industry skills camp for remote musicians from the Northern Territory, as well as the desert regions of South Australia and Western Australia. Working with inspiring national mentors and industry heavyweights; bands hone their craft and polish their skills ready to perform this concert under the starry desert sky.

The 2019 Bush Bands Bash line-up includes:

Mutitjulu Band (Mutitjulu, Central Australia)

Rising Wind Band (Yuendumu, Central Australia)

Eylandt Band (Angurugu, Groote Eylandt)

Docker River Band (Docker River, Central Australia)

Mala Band (Amata, APY Lands)

MB Reggae (Mulga Bore, Central Australia )

Desert Divas Patsy Coleman, Lena Kellie and Celestine Rowe.

As well as Sand Tracks emerging band, the Barkly Drifters from Barkly Tablelands.

and headlined by Mambali from Numbulwar.

Tickets are just $10 or free for those under 16.

Bush Bands Bash is a drug and alcohol free event.
