A Weekend of Gardening Delights in South Australia's Mid North

Goyder gardeners are people who love visitors and love to share their knowledge of gardens. You'll have the unique opportunity to visit thirteen gardens in the region, chat to the owners, enjoy home made morning and afternoon teas. Find out what it's like to garden in a cold, harsh dry environment, discover hardy plants that do well here, buy some to take home. Muse over the many upcycled pieces in the gardens, browse local art work and enjoy the music of Tamarisque on Saturday. Have a question, bring your problem along to our question and answer sessions.

Spring Expo offers a host of speakers with topics such as plants for a changing climate, succulents, natives, ferns, irises and more. Stallholders with lots of plants, tools and gardening goodies for sale.

Opening 11am Saturday, door prize, auction, morning tea and celebrities, ABC's Angela Smallacombe, presenter Karen Montgomery, plus a special appearance by Dr Lucy Sutherland; Director of Adelaide Botanic Gardens.

Come along to our Long Table Lunch, a Rich and Rustic Feast, Italian Style. Sunday-limited tickets.

Sophie Thomson and Trevor Nottle will once again capture people's imagination at Spring GardenExpo, in the BurraTown hall, during the weekend, grab a ticket and a programme-don't miss the opportunity to hear them together talking about plants for a changing climate.

Fairy Gardens are fun-A workshops both days for those 8+, or maybe big kids too. Local Florist Bev Redden will put some sparkle in your morning while teaching you how to use eveyday objects to make a fantasy garden. Very limited spots available. Click here for booking details.

Floral Art Workshop-with Di Tilley on Sunday 1.00-3.30pm. Make a floral arrangement on the Alice in Wonderland theme and enjoy a High Tea to celebrate. Find out ways to creatively use various containers and florals to add sweet ambienceto your next afternoon tea.12 places available.

Mad Hatter's Tea Party free for kids with an adult, lots of yummies and fun for families. Don't miss the stage decorated to look just like a page from Alice in Wonderland.

Like to see gardens not open to the public? Take the Secret Garden Bus Tour running Saturday morning anf afternoon. Have a chance to see some of tucked away places and private gardens around Burra while Sharon fills you in on the history and background of our heritage area.
