Made by award winning physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston, the SCREENAGERS documentary that gives parents insight into this new phenomenon has packed out screenings across USA and UK!

The film is rated 10+ and is suitable for young people from year 5. The maker of the Screenagers (Delaney Ruston) and Jordan Foster both agree that when parents/carers and their children work together, the risks posed by social media and the internet can be reduced.

It is due to this belief that Parenting Connection WA has paid for the THURSDAY & FRIDAY screening costs and workshops enabling parents and children over 10, to attend the event for FREE.

Parenting Connection WA started in April 2017 and is a new approach to supporting parents/carers in many communities around the state, including the Southwest. It provides parenting support, information and workshops for parents/carers of children aged from pre-birth to 18 years. It is a partnership between Anglicare, Ngala and Wanslea who have joined forces to bring their parenting skills and knowledge to nine regions across the state under one umbrella. Parenting Connections South West Parenting Partnership, is based locally at the Anglicare Office, Hudson Road Family Centre, Bunbury.

The screening will be FOLLOWED BY a Q & A Information Session with ySafe’s Jordan Foster WA’s only clinician specialising in online gaming addiction and issues surrounding Mental Health and social media. Jordan will be focusing on the impact of social media on future opportunities, giving tips on selfcare to our young people and providing parents with ideas on encouraging their young people, and how they can work together to make it work for them not against.

BUNBURY PRIMARY P & C are working with WA’s Parenting Connection and headspace and we are proud to be bringing the film to the South West.

Proudly Supported by the

Parenting Connection WA, City of Bunbury, Bunbury Primary School, Quickcliq, the Office of the eSafety Commissioner
