Event description

Description

The Bulimba Creek Paddle Against Plastic is proudly Sponsored by Seaworld Foundation and Healthy Land & Waterways.

It's time to clean up Bulimba Creek and through our partnership with Seaworld Foundation, Healthy Land & Waterways & B4C, we will hit the water in Paddle Craft to remove as much debris as we can in one morning.

This part of the creek has a lot of debris washed in from surrounding streets and due to the area flooding it is up on the banks, as well as stuck in the trees that have fallen in the river.

Bring your paddle craft of any type. Kayaks, canoes, SUP's, inflatable boats, whatever you have, come on down and help us out to clean the creek. If you don't have a craft, contact us as we have a few spare craft available, or you can simply clean along the banks.

This is a child friendly event and we encourage you to bring the family along to help them understand that keeping our waterways clean is essential for the wellbeing of marine life.

There will be a BBQ lunch available for volunteers at the end of cleaning.

Meet in Preston Road Park off Meadowloands Road, Carindale and we'll launch using the pontoon under the bridge. The event is free, however please pre-register through the tickets section in order to sign the waiver to save time and paper on the day and to allow for catering.
