Description
Did you know where Saffron comes from? You can learn how to grow your own in our Bulb workshop (Picture above is Crocus sativus, the saffron Crocus)
Take a journey on the road less travelled to the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens at Mount Tomah.
On Saturday the 16th of February the botanic gardens will be hosting an exclusive, hands-on bulb workshop.
You will be shown how the experts manage growing bulbs by Mat Murray, a specialist in the field who has over 30 years experience in bulb cultivation.
At the end of the workshop you will:
• Understand how the gardeners, design and plant their amazing bulb displays.
• Be inspired to create your own bulb meadow.
• Discover the secrets in manipulating bulbs to bloom in various climates, or flower out of season.
• Develop techniques in using bulbs to create a magnificent flowering display, either in pots or in the garden.

10.30AM to 12.00PM
Bring your Sunhat, Sunscreen, Umbrella or Poncho if required, Notepad & Pen.
