This training course is designed to provide basic criteria necessary for providing reports that satisfy the requirements of the Building Commissioner where a complaint has been made. The report will be used as part of the determination as to whether or not a regulated building service has been carried out in a proper and proficient manner or is faulty or unsatisfactory.
Participants will receive instruction regarding the Building Commission’s preferred method of report preparation which will meet the requirements of AS 4349.0-2007 Inspection of Buildings – General requirements.

The session will include morning tea.
Please note: This course requires a minimum number of attendees to proceed. If minimum numbers are not met, the session may be cancelled. Participants who have already registered and paid will have the option of a refund, or transferred to another session.

Department of Commerce – Building Commission
Western Australia’s Building Commission oversees the regulation of building, painting, building surveying and plumbing services. With all these regulatory functions focused within a single agency, our industry and consumers benefit from a more consistent and efficient service.
The Building Services Board has been established within the Commission to register builders, painters and building surveyors, and the Plumbers Licensing Board licenses plumbers. The Commission also provides advice to the Minister for Commerce regarding the administration of the Architects Act 2004.
