Building Inclusive Cultures Through Coaching explores power and rank dynamics in the coaching relationship, in the world and in the room.
About this event
GCI is committed to the ongoing task of creating awareness of the broader systems in which we live and work – and which we create, through the way we go about our lives and conduct our professional practice. We have been asking ourselves what is needed to create learning environments that are more inclusive and welcoming of the global majority.
A unique element of the GCI coaching program is its attention to power and rank dynamics within organisations and the broader society. Power and rank dynamics also exist within the coaching relationship.
Our workshop will consider trust and safety in coaching through a lens of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion – examining how our life experiences and social dynamics impact coaching clients and ourselves as learners and coaches. In this workshop we will begin to explore the individual in context – and specifically the organisational or immediate family context.
This program will be co-facilitated by Nontokozo Sabic, an experienced race educator and current student of GCI, and Rho Sandberg.
Join us for this 2 hour workshop on 30 May 2022 from 4pm - 6pm AEST / 8am - 10am CEST/SAST / 7am - 9am BST / 3pm - 5pm JST
