A webinar to support Aboriginal service organisations, healthcare staff, Aboriginal Community and anyone supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community.
Join vaccine experts from the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Director First Nations Health at Melbourne Uni, in an online training session where you will be guided through modules to assist you in building confidence in COVID-19 vaccines within your workplace, school, with staff and Aboriginal Community.
Modules will cover:
• COVID-19 vaccine overview including how vaccines are developed, approval process and COVID-19 vaccines given in Australia
• COVID-19 vaccine safety and effectiveness
• Booster doses, COVID-19 vaccines for children and vaccines and new variants
• When and how to respond to vaccine misinformation
Speakers
Associate Professor Margie Danchin is Group Leader, Vaccine acceptance, Uptake and Policy, at MCRI, and is an immunisation expert with over ten years of experience in vaccine research and clinical work, both in Australia and in resource poor settings.
Doctor Ngaree Blow is a Director of First Nations health, Melbourne medical school, University of Melbourne, and is a Vaccine specialist medical advisor, Vic DoH and a Board Director, Australian Doctors Association.
