Event description

Description

The Parramatta River was once a major barrier for the expansion of the convict settlement. Come for an easy walk to see the many types of bridge that now provide easy access to the north and learn about the methods used to build them. Then test your bridge building skills to construct an arch, beam or truss bridge. This program is aimed at primary school aged children, 7 - 11 years. Please wear enclosed shoes and a hat, bring water and a snack. Bookings are essential.

Parents/Carers can attend the programme at their own discretion, unless requested differently by City of Parramatta Council. Parents/Carers must be present at the conclusion of activity to pick up their child.
