Event description

Description

Join us during the school holidays for a short walk along the Parramatta River and a range of bridge themed games and activities.

The Parramatta River was once a major barrier to the growth of Parramatta’s convict settlement. The Lennox Bridge provided an elegant solution to the problem. Come on an easy walk to see this much adapted structure and some of the many other bridges that now provide easy access across the river. Discover the different methods used to build them. Then test your bridge building skills as you construct your own arch, beam or truss bridge.

This program is suitable for primary school aged children. Carers may also attend, but must supervise any younger children in their care.

Bookings are essential. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time, for registration. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring water, snack and a hat.
