Building Bridges - Intercultural Experience Margaret River - connecting the community through Intercultural food & cultural performances.

About this Event

Intercultural Action Group has been successful through the Community Development Grant program; which is an annual initiative of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River that aims to achieve a welcoming, inclusive, vibrant and engaged community.

Building Bridges – Intercultural Experience Margaret River is all about connecting everyone in the community through Intercultural food, cultural performances & music – by the local community.

The FREE event will be held at Margaret River HEART on Saturday, 15 February 2020, 12-3pm.

Invites for the event include Member for Forest, Hon. Nola Marino MP and Member for Durrack, Hon. Melissa Price MP, Augusta Margaret River Shire CEO, Stephanie Addison-Brown, Shire President & Cr Ian Earl & Councillors and ex-President Pam Townshend.

Undalup Association’s Welcome to Country will open the event.

There will be various performances during the event performed by the community.

World food - Please bring a share plate if possible and tell the story behind your dish.

The community is encouraged to come dressed up; wearing a cultural costume from any country. It would be great to see a variety of colourful costumes and the event organizers will be going around to pick the best dressed and you can stand to win a prize.
