About this Event

Working appropriately with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in My Aged Care (Building Aboriginal Cultural Competency) is part of the minimum training requirement to be undertaken by My Aged Care assessors.

The Department has engaged the Koori Heritage Trust to deliver this training to both the RAS and ACAS assessment workforce in 2018-19. The Koori Heritage Trust will conduct face-to-face training sessions in Melbourne and selected rural areas.

This invitation reflects the sessions planned for Warrnambool on the 26th of March 2019.

Sessions have also been scheduled for Metro Melbourne on the 7th, 20th and 25th of March, in Morwell on the 18th February and in Bendigo on the 11th of February 2019. Please refer to separate invitation for details.

Further invitations will be forthcoming for metro Melbourne in April and the regional centres of Sale, Horsham, Benalla.

There is capacity for 25 participants per session. Light lunch will be provided.

If you have already completed this training and/or received an exemption, please do not sign up for these training sessions.
