Build strategies to stay safe during extreme weather events. Understand your strengths and limitations and how to best prepare.

About this Event

Storms, heatwaves, bushfires, destructive winds, floods and other weather emergencies are becoming more frequent and more severe . Resilience for these events requires being better prepared, quicker to respond and connected to community.

This workshop for people over 50 will help attendees:

• understand their strengths, resources and vulnerabilities regarding emergency events

• build resilience and self-reliance in the face of extreme weather through greater planning and personal preparedness

• build strategies to stay safe during extreme weather and natural disasters

• build an understanding of how to build long-term community resilience.

Morning tea will be provided and each attendee will receive items for their Emergency GO Box
