Build a Native Bee Hotel this School Holidays with Axe Creek Landcare
Event Information
About this event
Have you seen this iridescent hard-worker in your backyard? Bendigo is home to many solitary native bees, who are important pollinators for our veggie gardens and our native flora.
Join Axe Creek Landcare this school holidays to learn all about these special creatures, while you build them their very own Bee Hotel!
All participants will receive their hotel materials in advance and will be invited to follow along with our special presenters, as they show you how to construct your hotel.
The workshop will be provided online in a one-off zoom presentation. You will need to bring your own screw driver and it would be best if you had an adult to help you.
You will take away from this workshop - a Bee Hotel, A Native Bee Fact Sheet and a native plant to lure the bees to your hotel.
Participants will receive:
- Bee House materials package (posted prior to Zoom Workshop)
- Native Bee-attracting plant
- Fact Sheet
- Access to the How to Build Zoom workshop*
*it is expected that recipients of the Bee House Materials Pack will attend the Zoom workshop. Please contact organisers if this is not possible for you.
Participants will need:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Further items to be confirmed
