Bugs & Bees – Make an Insect Hotel

Description
How do bees see? Where does honey come from? How do flowers use colours, perfume and shapes to attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators?
So many questions to explore! Visit our native stingless bees, go on a bug hunt, and learn how to make a great hotel for the little friends that help us all survive.
All materials included.
Where: Meeting at the PlantBank, Australian Botanic Gardens, Mt Annan
When: 18 and 21 January
Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Who: Suitable for children 5-12 years old only
What to bring: Water bottle, lunch, outdoor clothing
Cost: $25 per child
Special notes: This program will go ahead in wet weather, it will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Children must wear enclosed shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen and water bottle.
Cancellation policy: Once tickets are purchased no refunds, exchange or credits will be given, unless the event is cancelled by the Gardens due to dangerous conditions.
