BUFTA Teacher's Masterclass 2022
The BUFTA Teacher's Masterclass is a highly coveted, hands on series of professional development workshops that incorporate key aspects of filmmaking into an action-packed day of training. These workshops utilise Bond's state of the art equipment and facilities and are specially designed to help teachers help their students.
In these exclusive sessions, our industry experts will take you through everything you need to know about film and television. This event offers a range of options for experienced teachers, as well as teachers who are ready to take the next step.

Session One | 9.00am - 10.00am | Welcome: Essential Information for BUFTA
A session designed to explore how BUFTA works, what the new Sports category means for you and your school, and how Bond can help teachers when it comes to supporting students creating and submitting their films for BUFTA.
Session Two | 10.00am - 12.00pm | Screenwriting and Story Creation
Guidance, tips and tricks! Be coached by a Hollywood screenwriter who has worked with Daniel Radcliffe, best known for his role as Harry Potter in the globally successful Harry Potter franchise. Let Marc arm you with the tips and tricks that will allow you to guide your students in writing effective short scripts, in preparation for BUFTA.

Session Three | 1.00pm - 3.00pm | Cinematography
A session where professional cinematographer Harry Frith will go through both camera equipment and lighting techniques, to help you teach your students how to improve the look and production value of their screen projects.

Academics:
Steve Guttormsen | Technology and Teaching Support Manager
Steve holds a Master of Film and Television and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Alumnus of Bond University. Steve has travelled to high schools around Australia as part of the BUFTA Roadshow, as well as overseas to Norway to support and promote the benefits of studying Film and Television at Bond University.
Marc Rosenberg | Head of Screenwriting
Screenplay writer of the critically acclaimed Dingo (1991), starring Colin Friels and jazz legend Miles Davis, and December Boys (2007), starring Daniel Radcliffe and Teresa Palmer.
Harry Frith | Cinematographer
Recently returning from the bright lights of Hollywood, Harry Frith joins the Film and TV academic team at Bond University. With over 61 credits spanning across a number of short films, feature films and acclaimed backstage specials such as Will & Grace, Harry is looking forward to sharing his industry knowledge and expertise in cinematography with you.
