The Canberra Cruises and Party Boat have new owners and are looking to do some new fun classy events and Winederlust is getting on board!

Feel the sun on your face and cool sea breeze as you explore a different side of Canberra on the high waters of LBG, enjoying a selection of sparkling wines and paired canapés.

The Important Bit – The Featured Wines:

Each cruise will feature 4 sparkling wines - a white, pink, red and a pétillant naturel from small batch wineries from nearby regional areas including:

24 October - Canberra District

• White: Enotria 2018 Sparkling Blanc De Noir Brut Sauvage

• Pink: McKellar Ridge Sparkling Rose

• Pet Nat: Sholto, made from Pinot Noir

• Red: Barton Estate Sparkling Sangiovese

14 November - Southern Highlands

• White: Pepper Green Estate NV Sparkling

• Pink: Tertini Sparkling Rose

• Pet Nat: Ari's Natural Wines Sparkling

• Red: Cherry Tree Hill Sparkling Red

5 December - NE Victoria

• White: Billy Button NV Prosecco, Alpine Region

• Pink: Pizzini Il Soffio Prosecco Rose, King Valley

• Pet Nat: Mt Midoriyama Chevaucher L’éclair Pet Nat 2020, King Valley

• Red: All Saints Sparkling Shiraz, Rutherglen

... and if you have a pregnant or non-wine drinking friend, then there is a special ticket on offer where they can still come along and enjoy the boat ride and food, and we'll have some sparkling water for them too!

The Food:

We’ll enjoy brunch canapés paired to the wines including:

- mushroom and egg rice paper roll (V/GF/DF) with the white sparkling

- mini pancakes with berries (V) with the pink sparkling

- sticky rice with kingfish pickled ginger (GF/DF) with the pet nat

- eggs with truffles (V/GF) with the red sparkling

- Baileys chocolate truffle pops (V/GF) with the red sparkling

If you have any dietaries and any of the above are not suitable, please get in touch to notify me so we can work a solution for you.

We can also do duplicates of any of the above canapés that are suitable for other pairings. An alternative option to the above are fruit skewers.

I will be in touch the week before the cruise to check on dietaries. Any changes must be notified to Winederlust at least 5 days in advance(that is the Monday before the cruise).

Catering by Nathan Lanham catering.

There will be some popcorn and vege crisps snacks available too.

Dates and Times:

We will meet at 10.45am for an 11am departure.

Each cruise will be from 11am to 1pm on:

24 October - featuring 4 sparkling from the Canberra Region

14 November - featuring 4 sparkling from Southern Highlands

5 December - featuring 4 sparkling from North East Victoria including King Valley, Alpine and Rutherglen

The Boat:

There will only be maximum of 20 tickets available for each cruise (instead of the usual 30+ capacity, and even though restrictions have eased a bit more, this is being kept an exclusive event)

Please note there is a step approx 30cm high to enter the bathrooms; and a ladder to get to the top deck. Flat footwear and a hat is suggested.

Meeting Point:

Update: We were to depart from Acton but the jetty is due for maintenance/removal so this has been changed (from 16 Sept 2020).

We will be sailing from Giles Street wharf in Kingston Harbour, right out the front of the Dock (see map below). It is very near to the Glassworks and Bus Depot markets. There is free parking although I encourage taking public transport.

Meeting time is 10.45am for 11am sailing time. The cruise will be for 2 hours, finishing at 1pm.
